actually as far as accidents there is NO airline commercial or military that has NOT had some type of mechanical failure leading to either a crash,collision or emergency landing and no Quantas is NOT accident free

I read this for the first time in the late 80's on much copied paper. The only difference is it was attributed to Navy pilots/mechanics.
