How many points do you lose on the SAT Essay if you incorrectly write about something that happened in a book?

Like if you were using a book as an example to back up a prompt, such as Beowulf, and you said that Beowulf lied about killing Grendels mom, when in fact he really did. How many points would you lose for writing incorrectly about literature? If you were going to get an 8 for the essay, but they found that that part was wrong, how would your score change? Would you get a 7? Would you still get an 8? Thanks.

IF THE PEOPLE REVIEWING YOUR ESSAY HAVE NEVER READ BEOWULF, THEN YOU ARE HOME FREE

HOWEVER, DO NOT WORRY ABOUT POINT DECREASES BECAUSE THE ESSAY MAINLY FOCUSES ON HOW WELL YOU WRITE. SO IF YOU WROTE AN AMAZING ESSAY WITH CORECT GRAMMAR & GREAT VOCABULARY BUT ALL OF THE FACTS WERE MADE UP, THE LOWEST YOU WOULD GET IS A 5 OUT OF 6.

I DONT KOW WHERE YOU GOT 8 FROM….? THE SAT IS GRADED OUT OF 6.
