what to write about for the SAT essay?

for my SAT prep class, we have to think of some topics to write about for our SAT essay. We have to have two historical events, two current events, and two pieces of literature. So far, I’ve decided WWII would be a good one for history (it’s nice and broad and can apply to a lot of stuff), but i’m kind of stuck for everything else. Any suggestions?
Thanks a lot!

The best way to make examples is use whatever you know the most about.

Here are some examples I would choose:
    Historical Events:
    -WWII
    -Cold War
    -Battle of Gettysburg
    -The Great Depression

    Current Events:
    -The upcoming election
-Putting in money to save the economy (Bailout plan)
-HCL and the proton smasher (happened a few weeks ago, a big thing in physics, but it’s not very well-known otherwise)
Pretty much any big stories in the news. This can include celebrities if you keep up with them.

    Literature:
    -A Million Little Pieces
    -Storyteller’s Daughter
    -The Natural
    -1984
    -To Kill a Mockingbird
    -Hard Times
Honestly, anything you read in school can go here.

    I hope that helps!
