Would it be appropriate to use Twilight as “evidence from literature” on an SAT essay?

I am going to take the SAT. Sometimes, in my preparation for the essay component, I can think of a good piece of evidence that comes from the storyline of Twilight. It says in the directions its okay to use evidence from literature. Do you think that this is inappropriate and I will be marked down for "content" because its not scholarly enough?

i don't think it would be very good if you put a teen book down. even though i love twilight with a passion, i think it would be more credible if you found something in a classic like from Shakespeare, Jane Austin or Charlotte Bronte.
